    Franz Wohlfart

    Chief Executive Officer

    Mr. Franz Wohlfart joined Neconde Energy Limited in October of 2023, as hief Executive Officer. Franz joins NEL from TDE where he most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director. Prior to this, he had held executive positions in OMV as Director Workover Division, TNK-BP as Director of Wellwork Department, and ROSNEFT Upstream as First Deputy Director of Drilling, JVs and International Projects.

    Franz started his career in the field as a Reservoir and Welltest Engineer, Operations Engineer and later Production Manager in Austria with Rohölaufsuchungs AG. His early career field assignments were in Continental Europe and Middle East. His experience spans 23 years across his home country Austria, Romania and Russia.

    An accomplished Corporate Executive, he comes with vast knowledge in the oil and gas industry including Business and Strategy Development, Process Management, Operations performance development, Real data visualization, Contractor performance management, Human Resources, Market development, Restructuring and Reorganisation, Evaluation and establishing of JV’s and acquisitions.

    Franz holds a master’s degree in petroleum engineering (key focus drilling and economics) from the Mining University of Leoben in Austria. Franz was a Commander of Guard in the 90s and he is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).

    Chichi Emenike

    Head, Gas Ventures

    Chichi has over twenty (20) years experience in the Oil and Gas spanning across the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors. Her capabilities cut across diverse spectrums including but not limited to business development and strategy, engineering, project conceptualization & management, deals structuring, stakeholder management, technical procurement and overall contract administration.

    She holds a B.Eng in Chemical Engineering from Enugu State University of Science & Technology and an MBA in Oil & Gas Management from the prestigious Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen. She is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN) and a certified member with the Council for The Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).

    Chichi started her early career in the Nigerian Oil & Gas industry as a Project Engineer with Exxon Mobil Nigeria Limited where she garnered cutting edge industry skills and experiences over a 10 year period. She moved on to other organizations where she gathered diverse experience across the entire industry value chain. She is well-versed in negotiating industry contracts and has strong track records of closing commercial deals with venture partners as well as being versatile in structuring and financing of projects to ensure optimum value creation for all stakeholders.

    Presently, Chichi is replicating her success strides in Neconde Energy Limited as the Head, Gas Ventures where she is responsible for driving the company’s Gas business and positioning Neconde as a lead player for developing Gas supply in Nigeria. Also, Chichi is piloting the development and commercialization of Neconde’s Associated Gas (AG) and Non-Associated Gas (NAG) to boost production in alignment with the company’s strategic mandate of being responsible for about 12% of Nigeria’s total domestic Gas supply. One of her main and core is the focus around unlocking the company’s Gas potential of over 3.8tcf of Gas reserves for increase value optimization for growth and profitability. In her present capacity, she is also facilitating the investment drive to bring alignment and consolidate Neconde’s huge gas portfolio.

    Currently, she serves on the council of the Nigerian Gas Association (NGA) in the capacity of a Financial Secretary.
